Creating a link from WebCT 6.0

Units within WebCT CE 6 can utilise the CMO PowerLink feature. The advantage of CMO PowerLink is that once students are logged into WebCT they will not have to log into their CMO list. Access is seamless.

The CMO PowerLink is accessed by clicking the Course Content area under Course Tools within the Build tab.

Click the Add Content Link:

A new Create CMO PowerLink form will open.

In the Title field, enter what you would like to name the PowerLink, such as "Course Materials Online".

In the Reading List Unit Code field, enter the unit code. This code must be in the correct unit code format of ABCD1234 (i.e. four letters and four numbers). Click the Save button to add the CMO PowerLink to the content page.

Creating a link from any web page

A hyperlink can be created to a unit list within CMO from any web page by using the following URL syntax:
http://cmo.library.uwa.edu.au/rlms/view?unitcode=ABCD1234 ... where ABCD1234 is the unit code, made up of four
letters and four numbers.

Students will be required to login to CMO when they click on this link.
