EndNote Software

UWA students and staff may freely download EndNote new window icon to your personal computers.

You should check the compatibility of your software and system.

In addition to the software UWA Library also provides downloads of

Versions of EndNote

Which version does the UWA Library use?


The Library uses EndNote X1.0.1. We recommend that you upgrade to EndNote X1.0.1 unless you are in the process of completing your thesis.

EndNote X1.0.1

 

EndNote X1.0.1 is the recommended version for use with Vista and Office 2007 and is installed on all Library computers. It is the version of EndNote currently available from UWA and is free to download new window icon for UWA Staff and Students.

EndNote 9.0.1

There are some minor compatibility issues with Microsoft Vista new window icon. However EndNote 9 libraries are directly compatible with EndNote X1.

EndNote 7 and earlier versions

 

The makers of EndNote recommend that you upgrade to EndNote X1.0.1.

EndNote 9 and EndNote X1 libraries are compatible however EndNote 7 and earlier versions are not. You should ensure that any authors with whom you're collaborating are using a version of EndNote and Word compatible with your own. For further detailed information see the relevant sections of the EndNote Manuals.

 

Upgrading to EndNote X1.0.1 from an earlier version

It is recommended that you uninstall earlier versions of EndNote before upgrading. Make sure to first back up your libraries, styles, import filters or connection files. If you are currently working on a Word document using your EndNote library you should unformat the document before upgrading to EndNote X1.
