What does the Library cover in training?

Instructor led "hands on" EndNote sessions
These sessions are organised at subject library level.  Typically, an introductory session covers:

  • Creating and organising an Endnote library
  • Adding references to a library both manually and by using direct export or filters
  • Inserting and editing citations in a Word document using EndNote's Cite While You Write (CWYW) function
  • Formatting references in different reference or output styles
  • Downloading styles, filters and connection files

Subject libraries also offer more advanced EndNote training and training sessions for specific groups of students. These advanced sessions could cover topics such as:

  • Using EndNote to store information - attaching files, figures, spreadsheets
  • Combining separate EndNote libraries and Word documents into a single document & bibliography
  • Copying libraries, sharing libraries and using travelling libraries
  • Using the Group function to organise references

Please contact a Librarian in your Subject Library to arrange EndNote training.
